Grace and Leadership

I came across a rather interesting book recently and wanted to share it with you, if you haven't read it already.

It's a book by Gary Burnison called: "The 5 Graces of Life and Leadership". I read this book and I found it a game changing experience as it presented a refreshing approach to how leaders can navigate through some of the most challenging times for the road ahead.

One of the things that really stood out from the on-set, was when he mentioned, "leadership is the eighth wonder of the world". That really got my attention to continue reading.

I will highlight, in summary the 5 Graces of Leadership as Gary indicated in his book, but I highly recommend that you give it a read.

Gratitude: The attitude that elevates our spirits, boosts morale, and lifts our hearts

Resilience: The quality that allows us to achieve beyond our wildest dreams, it makes the impossible, possible

Aspirations: The knowledge that we can make tomorrow better than today

Courage: The ability to understand and move beyond our fears

Empathy: The understanding needed to connect with others from their perspectives

After reading this book I felt elevated with the need for greater self-awareness and genuine connections to others, which is important in leadership and connectivity so everyone can be a part of something bigger than themselves.

I highly recommend this book on leadership for the road ahead.
